I just wanted to share this video of one of the most beautiful Regions of Italy, in spite of its inglorious reputation.. People are simple and generous and very intelligent, places are amazing, not to mention food, the best one in Italy.
The first images are of "Etna", a volcano, still active. Others are of Taormina , a very popular tourist destination. There are still many Roman ruins in Taormina , but the most remarkable monument is the Ancient theatre.
Others image are of food .. I swear , I have never tasted anything better.

While my favorite place may not have the culture or the historic ruins...it is where I would love to live the rest of my life...wish I could have found a video with better camera work...but here is California's Big Sur Coast....

Mother , just know that many people in Italy, including me , save their money for a lifetime to visit your country and California in particular. Everything there is magic.

MO I love so much beach and sea. I would like to live my rest of life in front of sea... I feel a fish sometimes.... boiled too...

I went to Sicily for a business trip last week.
I had been there other times but this time was special, I can’t say why .
The weather was sunny and warm .. and there was scent of flowers and sea everywhere.
When I landed at the airport a young boy came pick me up .
He drove along the coast to get to my hotel.
I took some photos …. I found other pictures on the web .. and made this video ( sorry Mother, I am not being in competition with you
).
The song I added is “Wicked Game” , an old hit.
That boy had a cd and played it all the time. It was amazing .
Hope I can pass you all the magic I felt.

Thanks Pappy , but I think I will have to be more concentrated next time. I wrote "Sicily, 2010" .. Sorry .. we are in 2011 .
